Uyiosa Chu APRN-CNP, FNP-C

Uyiosa Chu, APRN-CNP, FNP-C, is a licensed nurse practitioner and integrates her passion for family medicine with essential, quality care. Uyiosa elevates patients by offering many services, such as chronic disease management, at the Voss Family Clinic in Sugar Land, Texas.

After obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from the University of Benin in Nigeria, Uyiosa pursued and completed three different master’s programs that helped provide skills as a well-rounded clinician. 

She received her first Master of Science in human resource management from the University of Bedfordshire in England, followed by a Master of Science in international relations from the University of Benin, and a third Master of Science in Nursing at DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. She also received her family nurse practitioner post-master’s certificate from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in Houston, Texas.

During her education, Uyiosa worked as a staff nurse for Misericordia, Heart of Mercy, in Chicago, Illinois, a nonprofit organization that provides essential care for people with developmental disabilities. This experience provided Uyiosa with skills such as bedside care and ensuring her patients’ care while under her supervision.

After completing her education requirements, she completed three rounds of clinical rotations to learn a comprehensive view of preventive medicine, patient assessments, and direct medical care for various and diverse populations. Uyiosa also has experience in EMR systems to ensure your crucial health information remains safe.

Following her rotations, Uyiosa worked as a registered nurse at The Women’s Hospital of Texas in Houston, Texas, successfully mentoring dozens of new registered nurses.

Today, Uyiosa works with Voss Family Clinic to bring over 20 years of unique and well-rounded experience to Sugar Land, Texas, residents.
